UAB Kino studija is implementing an EU-supported project aimed at improving the company’s energy efficiency by installing a 99.99 kW solar power plant. The project will enable the studio to generate clean electricity for its operational needs, reduce long-term energy costs and contribute to more sustainable film production practices.

The project is co-financed under the “New Generation Lithuania” plan, funded by the European Union through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (NextGenerationEU).

 

The project’s funding intensity is 35%, and the maximum amount that may be paid to the beneficiary is EUR 37,565.94.

The implementation of the joint project takes place from 9 March 2023 until 30 April 2026.

UAB „Kino studija“ has implemented an EU co-funded project “Cross-media cluster R&D infrastructure development”. Its aim was to establish a laboratory for the development of new products and services in the audio-visual industry. The consortia of audio-visual companies intends to develop immersive technology content, offer film industry various services such as motion capture, 3D printing for props, acoustic measurements and others. It will allow the Film Studio to be at the centre of industry’s R&D development offering new opportunities and markets. It will also strengthen Lithuania's film industry and its ability to innovate.


The project’s budget was 800 364,78 EUR. 520 237,11 EUR was financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Project lasted from September 2017 until July 2020.
